Hikemon uses your location to clear the fog and detect nearby places. Your routes, revealed areas and exploration history are stored only on your device. We do not upload, collect or sell your location history.
• Map boundary & place lookups: coordinates are sent to map data services (our own cache server and OpenStreetMap's Overpass/Nominatim) to resolve neighborhood boundaries and nearby landmarks. These requests are not linked to an account.
• League scores: an anonymous random device identifier, your nickname and your weekly explored-cell count. No coordinates, no routes.
• Purchases: processed by Apple and RevenueCat under their privacy policies.
• Crash reports: anonymous diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics.
Hikemon has no sign-up. The only identifier is a random ID generated on first launch, which you can reset by reinstalling the app or using Reset Progress.
You can revoke location permission anytime in iOS Settings. Contact us to have league data tied to your device identifier deleted.
